The wax isn't removing all of the hair; I am having to overlay my wax

Terminal hair:

If the hair is short and stubborn, standard application of removal may not take the hair out. Apply your peelable against the hair growth removing with the

Apply your peelable wax against the hair growth, also removing against the hair growth direction making sure the skin is fully supported.

Caflon

What is the correct aftercare procedure?

Wash hands thoroughly before touching studs or ear. Cleanse the front and back of the ear 2 times a day with CAFLON Natural Solution without removing studs. Then rotate studs 2 or 3 times, 90° left and 90° right, i.e. a quarter turn only, thus avoiding hair wrapping around the post at the back of the lobe. In between cleansing, the ear should be kept DRY. Keep hair spray, soap, shampoo and other preparations away from the ear. After shampooing, the ear should be rinsed with clean water and then cleansed with CAFLON Natural Solution as described above. The piercing area should be CLEANSED with CAFLON Natural Solution, then kept DRY, especially after bathing, swimming or exercise.

After ears have been pierced, what should the client not do?

Remove studs or handle your ears and/or studs unnecessarily. Push the butterfly along the post towards the ear - the butterfly must always be positioned of the tip of the post. Feel the position each time you clean the ear - it must feel smooth. This ensures that the earring remains LOOSE during the healing period. This is essential as too tight may lead to inflammation.

After the ears have been pierced, what should the client do?

Leave studs in the ears for 6 weeks continuously (12 weeks for cartilage). After 6 weeks (12 weeks for cartilage), the stud can be removed and other post-type earrings may be worn continuously. Use only post-style earrings continuously for the first 6 months from piercing. The post should be surgical stainless steel or other hypo-allergenic material. Minor pain/redness may occur immediately - this is normal, this will settle within 48 hours provided proper after-care is carried out. If undue pain/swelling/redness occurs at any time, seek medical advice before removing the ear-piercing stud.

What is the normal reaction for piercing ear cartilage?

Due to the nature of ear cartilage, extra care should be observed during the healing period. Minor pain/redness may occur immediately - this is normal.

This will settle within 48 hours provided proper after-care is carried out. If undue pain/swelling/redness occurs at any time, seek medical advice immediately. Do not remove studs before the relevant medical advice. Failure to properly follow after-care procedures or to seek immediate medical advice, should a problem occur, may result in permanent damage to the ear cartilage.

The Eyelash Emporium

Which lash adhesive is best for beginners?

We would recommend using the Epic adhesive for beginners. It has a slower dry time making it easier for technicians to perfect the lash position.

Which lash adhesive is best for advanced technicians?

We would suggest using, depending on the experience of the technician, either the Blockbuster Adhesive which has a drying time of 3-6 seconds or the Master adhesive, which has a drying time of 1-2 seconds.

What is the difference between classic eyelash extensions and the express lash treatment?

The express lash treatment is where you do not need to isolate a single lash to apply. Specially made, pre-made lash fans (Fast Motion Express Lashes) are applied to the lashes to enhance and extend the lashes to give a fuller, camera-ready look in just 30 minutes which lasts for 7-10 days. Infills cannot be applied to an express treatment, you must remove then reapply. Classic individual eyelash extensions are where individual lashes are applied one at a time onto the natural lashes. The treatment takes approx. 90 minutes and lasts 6-8 weeks with recommended infills every 2-3 weeks.

Which adhesive is used with the express lash treatment?

The Motion Sensitive adhesive is the only glue that can be used for express treatments. It has a lower level of bonding agent so there is no need for patch testing your clients.

What should the temperature of the treatment room be when performing a lash treatment?

The best working temperature of your room should be between 19-24 degrees.

What should the humidity levels of the treatment room be when performing a lash treatment?

40-55 humidity.

What can we use to check the temperature and humidity of my treatment room?

We suggest to buy a hygrometer to monitor the temperature and humidity levels.
