4 Steps To Beautiful Cuticles!
Caring for your clients cuticles is a simple step that really helps their manicure look so much better for so much longer! We're sure you know all this, but here's a rundown of our suggestions.

Step 1 - Soften
Add some warm water to a bowl with a little soak (we love Hive Lychee & Raspberry for its fruity scent) and allow the nails & cuticles to soak for around 5 minutes. If your clients cuticles are particularly stubborn you can add some cuticle remover beforehand to really boost the effects. Kaeso Bearberry Cuticle Remover is ideal, but make sure you follow the instructions and don't leave it on too long.
Step 2 - Push
For professionals, we would recommend a metal cuticle pusher as a more effective tool but for home use a wooden Orange Stick or rubber cuticle tool is much more gentle and less likely to damage your nails. These make great retail options for maintainance in between salon appointments. You might even choose to include an Orange Stick as a free add-on.
Step 3 - Trim
This step is often best left to the professionals, as cutting too enthusiastically can leave you open to infection and pain. For professionals we suggest using a sharp pair of cuticle nippers such as these ones from Hive and not going too deep. Don't forget to sanitise them between clients with something like Barbicide.
Step 4 - Moisturise
As a part of the manicure process you may choose to use a cuticle massage cream before (or instead of) adding the final cuticle oil step. A cuticle oil makes the perfect retail product for everyday use and we have a variety of options at different price points. Kaeso Juicy Drops is available in a 15ml size, ideal for retailing.
